I've been waiting for Direct TV or Dish or Tivo to sign a license. I have suspected for some time now that the Digital recordings so vital to 'instant' replay and recording shows, required MMP technology.

  It's one of the reasons I bought PTSC stock, way back when.

 It's exciting to think of all those 'set top boxes' atop the television sets need exactly what the MMP offers.

  My reasoning although not technical, is the speed at which one is able to 'playback' and even hold a program so you can answer a phone call or the door, would require MMPs' speedy processing. That being 'above' 120 mhz.

  Long ago I talked to a fellow who is quite knowledgeable as to why watching t.v on a computer while connected to a modem was inheritantly difficult. The MMP technology opened this door.

  I'm going to be quite satisfied tonight as I manuever my  remote control to my Dish DVR, knowing that MMP is inside.
