I wasn't clear in my message. By all means, people should contact their elected officials advising of their opinion/wishes. I'm just suggesting that if people are willing to take the time to do that, they should consider also taking the time to contact a possibly receptive set of ears and a loud voice toward greatly enhancing the probability of the message getting out, so many more citizens can act on it. Whisper to your neighbor or grab the national microphone - which will gain the desired effect - boarder and faster?
Now, I didn't exactly say that in my message - I did say what you imply - forget contacting your congressperson and contact Lou instead. But what was my intent in suggesting contact and prompting involvement with Lou Dobbs? It certainly wasn't to get Lou to talk about it with the expectation that his audience do nothing. It was with the intent of getting many, many more people to do as you suggest. I just chose to direct my action to someone who might just take the ball and run with it, and who has proven influence.
