Let me put it another way. Maybe J Ward just didn't understand what the technical people were trying to explain to him? (Ex. Most people don't understand how to properly apply debits and credits in accounting.)

I'm saying why wouldn't a patent examiner better understand what Despain or Moore are trying to explain than most any Judge. With that being the case, why would the decison of the courts be used instead of that of the technical people? I'll grant you that both legal and techinical decisions are really in play here.

This issue is really not so important today, but this could be a big deal soon as all the main patents are now to be re-examined. Is there presidence as to which governing body trumps in this case? We may have had that dicussion here before? Why are you so certain the court will prevail for the 584 ??
