The old Sony/Toshiba JV for PS2 chips is coming to an end in March 2008. It is being replaced with a new Sony/Toshiba JV at a different plant. So what to do with the older plant which will revert to Toshiba?
Well I do not know, but a wild guess would be more PS2 chips to include into Toshiba an Panasonic TVs. No separate consol. It's old tech and Sony will probably get a royalty. Could this be the strategic reason? Was this was unfolding that long ago? Are we in some kind of JV with our adversaries?
I'm finding the speculation is more appealing that following the pps day to day. Opty
