No man is an island unto him-self, nor is any stock an island unto its-self. Presently there is a huge vacuum below the over-all market and it is being reflected in the weakness of most stocks. On a daily basis I sort and rank some 285 high volume stocks and today there are 51 of the stocks that are still positive while 234 are negative based on the weekly charts. The industrials have now been negative for the third week and, short of an artificial stimulus from the Feds, we have probably not seen bottom. In addition to the negative sentiment regarding the market we are entering the earnings reporting season for the coming cycle and many are expecting some disappointing results. I think the Fed is widely expected to lower rates at its next meeting and some are guessing by as much as 75 basis points and possibly much more over the coming months. If this happens it would be extreme action and reflect the seriousness of the current economic situation and the prediction by some that we are headed into a recession.
Having said the above, and assuming it is correct, few stocks will move into much higher ground without exceptionally great performance and reports concerning forward projections. I would hope that management for PTSC would provide such guidance understanding the over-all condition of the economy and realizing that PTSC will quite possibly drift lower without same. Undisclosed conditions of the company, no matter how exemplary, will most likely see the stock drift lower even though it is presently extremely oversold. There is a major trend line on the monthly chart coming in at about 44 cents. If this does not hold at the end of the month we could again test the previous low of .3410. I don’t want to sound negative about the stock and I hope I am wrong but this is what I see on the charts. Should this happens it will be a shame if what we believe is the true value of our company, PTSC.
This is just my opinion and I hope I am wrong.
I wish for all LONGS many happy and profitable returns.
