Phillips prev refused to pay $22M for an MMP... that was 7 months before they licensed.. so they probably had that $22 figure for close to a yr... So given that somewhere around a yr had passed prior to licensing.. some (me) might expect the price for a license had gone up a bit.. some might think TPL would accept somewhat less in order to get Phillips signed on and out of the way for say $15M (not chump change). now for the Q we know Denso & DMP (& perhaps APC) paid $1.4+M tot (from prev Q).. TEAC will also be included... so add all those up... $15 M for Phillips, $1.4+M & TEAC (perhaps $2-3M) = $18-20M tot PDS revs presplit low figure. Now my hope.. A slightly increased Phillips amount from the $22M... say start with $23-24M, add the $1.4+M, add TEAC $2-3M = $27-28M tot PDS presplit high end . Even if Phillips decided to license for the origina $22M we should se over $25M tot...
I'm hoping for the high end $27M... but have decided not to get upset or very disappointed with a lower $18-20M total.. because that might have been the prudent thing for TPL to do at the time...
