I am aware of AMD/Intel......I was just going back to the first PR regarding purchased licenses as of Jan 23, 2006. From what I have read here from long time posters such as yourself is that the AMD/Intel deal was more for the value of having two big players than it was for revenue. If I am wrong, I stand corrected.

I do also believe that there is a certain period of time to look back on past infringers after the patents expire. I'm guess that all licenses purchased to date expire when the patents expire. The look back may be there for companies that otherwise, slip through the cracks when the patents expire. Your comments welcome.
