You have just nailed my personal greatest fear here... politics entering into these decisions/results..  because if there is one thing that is even less known/expected/guessed than what outcome may be realized in the court of law.. it is what outcome may be rendered when political influences interject themselves and potentially hold sway upon the results we await.
