Resolve, Fortitude, Perseverance

There is obviously a great amount of frustration being exhibited by many of our long time, highly esteemed posters and rightfully so. I think is it justified to some degree. While I do not practice it, venting can be a healthy exercise in avoiding mental anguish and mental fatigue.

During times of frustration and what may present itself as a period of despair (hanging in the balance) with regard to PTSC, I always go back pre-Markman and ask myself...How would I judge the current state of affairs now in comparison to the state of affairs then. If I had known back then what I know today, would I accept PTSC’s current state as good or bad. The answer for myself is that it would be great.

During the period prior to Markman, the sp was sputtering to hold in the .50's. My investment was hanging in the balance. A bad outcome to the Markman would have resulted in the sp sinking like the Titanic and I wouldn’t have had a snowball’s chance in hell of selling at a reasonable price. Simply stated, I was at the mercy of the Markman outcome. So what if anything has changed? Had PTSC not had a settlement, I would have still been at the mercy of a trial in January.

If someone would have asked me back then(pre-Markman), what my reaction would be to an overwhelmingly positive outcome to the Markman, December news of a settlement from the J’s but with a NDA attached to it, a sp in the low to mid .60's, but no numbers released until April 08 regarding settlements, and no communications regarding future guidance of PTSC...... my answer would have been a profound "Hell yeah, I’ll take it" (but with more emphasis on an expletive or two).

Yes, while I wish there were more frequent guidance from management, I accept the fact that there is nothing that management can communicate at this time. Patience is a word that has often been used to rebuke those that would challenge management. I suggest that patience has been tried and tested by fire for the true longs of PTSC. Patience is a word that no longer applies for them and understandably so.

Resolve, fortitude and perseverance are words that best desribe the character of the true longs. It's easy for me to say to you.. 'hang in there' but I truly believe that....the times, they are a changing.
