He watches PTSC because he knows I'm in big (he hasn't taken a position - I suspect because he fears the ridicule he would have gotten from his brother - a VP at a major brokerage).
He said he wasn't too surprised to see Verigy jump on, especially after HP and Agilent (since all the management at Verigy came from those companies). He returned my call right after a YE conference call addressing results and startegy going forward. Verigy is doing well, and has nixed its former plan to reduce staff to 1,400 from the current 1,550. Their testing devices beat all the competition. Their top-end tester has 258 microprocessors (each way faster than the fastest Pentium) and costs millions each.
FWIW, and IMO we may have gotten some pretty big coin outa these guys. And, no, the MMP license was not mentioned in the conference call.
