A Tech guys is better at controlling a stock price than a financial guy? You're kidding right? Investment Bankers are trained to "grow the share price" - tech guys are certainly not.

I worked for a start-up company that included mostly tech guys - most of management were tech guys. They were top notch tech guys and they did a very poor job managing the company - in fact they ran it into the ground within 9 months. They were great with "techie type ideas" but they had no idea about how compete in the market place.

A CEO with a financial/investment background would think about the "SP" in every decision he or she makes. All of the announcements and all of the bargaining with TPL would be based on "how will this effect to the company's SP?" It would obviously involve some push-back with TPL and the J-3.
