If I understand things correctly, the cancellation of jury selection is one of the things that is done before the holidays every year.

Ordinarily, jury selection goes on constantly, but with the holidays coming, they cancel it until the holidays are over.

If our case goes to trial, which I seriously doubt, jury selection will take place on January 7 and the trial is set for January 8.  To the best of my knowledge, our jury selection has not (as yet) been cancelled.

Hope I'm wrong on this, but I'm afraid I'm not.
