If one or more of the Defendants wanted to settle, but not all, I find it unlikely that ALL would file for a Stay. Unless the stay is a positive for TPL/PTSC, I would expect to see an MSJ filed. As I pointed out in the Bah! Humbug! post, the Patents remain valid until ALL appeals have been satisfied, so, unless the '148, '336, and '584 are in the process of being confirmed, there remains the "finalizing details" option.

Without knowing the grounds for the original motion, one can only speculate.
