I just don't see the point of a stay related to the PTO. The PTO will rule when they rule, regardless of the stay. If the settlement or trial has not been finalized, then the PTO ruling becomes a relevant part of the case. Otherwise, the show must go on.
The stay has to be unrelated to the PTO unless ithe stay requested exceeds the trial date.
