Some TA takes ONLY into account open / close price, with NO volume information to back it up.

If you can manipulate the data going in, you can get the desired result... tell others to stay away based on TA.

 

The more sophisticated investor looks at the data behind the quote (or end of day closing price) unlike some TA.... which is why I agree with you that the real picture here looks good.
