Are you anywhere near White Horse? Are those two old stern-wheelers still sitting next to the river?

At age 12, our family took the Alcan highway to Alaska (1,500 miles of unpaved road), 1967. White Horse was on the way. I just remember being amazed at those old stern-wheelers just sitting there, beached. Couldn't talk the folks into stopping so I could climb all over them! And I just bet there was gold dust under those floorboards, in the cracks!

Rugged place.... And giant mesquitos! I got a real appreciation for what the miners went through, and I was there in July!
