I misread the court's rules to mean that an electronically filed order by the court was OK without a judge's signature. What it said (and please correct me if I am wrong) is that any order filed electronically has the same effect as if the judge signed a paper copy. It doesn't mean that a signature is not required, just as you stated.
(8) Entry of Court Orders.(A) All orders, decrees, judgments, and proceedings of the court will be filedelectronically by the court or court personnel in accordance with these rules, which will constitute entry on the docket kept by the clerk Any order filed electronically has the same force and effect as if the judge had signed a papercopy of the order and it had been entered on the docket in a conventionalmanner. (B) A Filing User submitting a document electronically that requires a judge'ssignature must promptly deliver the document in such form as the courtrequires. http://www.txed.uscourts.gov/Rules/LocalRules/Documents/Local%20rules.pdf#page=21
Now I will drop the subject.
