Anthony H. Son is a partner and a registered patent attorney with Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Mr. Son represents clients in numerous cases involving patent, trademark, copyright and general business disputes. He uses his experience to develop and implement litigation strategies that help his clients achieve their business objectives. He has litigation experience involving a wide range of technologies, including semiconductors, plasma panel displays, LCD displays, automotive safety devices, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dietary supplements and various consumer products.

Mr. Son has second-chaired trials in federal and state courts. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of trial preparation, including preparing and arguing summary judgment motions, preparing and arguing discovery motions, handling expert and document discovery, and claim construction hearings. Mr. Son has also been involved in numerous settlement negotiations, court-ordered settlement conferences, and mediations.

Mr. Son is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, California, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Patent and Trademark Office and numerous United States district courts. He has handled disputes before the United States International Trade Commission.

Mr. Son graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, cum laude, in 1997, where he served on the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and worked for the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic. He received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1994.
