Why would anyone trade at the penny when they can buy in between.

I bought 30k last week at .363 and .37 and sold at .475 and .4775

today i just bought 15k ( 5 at 13:10 and 10  at 13:31) at .4525

if i would have paid the ask of .46 I would have wasted .0075  on 15k or 112.50.   If i sell at .4875 or better I make 500 bucks after commissions.

If I buy at .46 and sell at .48 then I cut my profit in half. 

So accumulaiton for the long term might pay the round numbers but I would say it's traders that slpit the bid ask to make room for decent profits.
