I call them streamers, but moneynet.net calls their's a "screamer". I list the stocks I want to watch realtime, and shows last trade PPS, size of last trade, whether it was up or down, how much up or down from previous close, bid, ask, total volume, and exact time of last trade. The info is static on the page (i.e., it doesn't move across the page).
I also use my ETrade streamer which is same as above with a little less detail, though it also shows bid and ask size.
I also use otcbb.com for free delayed level II, which today listed 30 MMs and their bid/ask, size, and time that the MM entered the offer.
At the times you guys/gals were posting about this anomaly, there were no less than 6 MMs/offers between .47 and .51 on the ask.
Now, what I have noticed consistently over years of using these tools is that when one MM gets taken out, the realtime ask moves up to the next one in line, and so on.
All that said, I suspect your source is questionable, as I see no way that, in one trade, all those MMs with offers between .47 and .51 could be taken out when the PPS never exceeded .485 all day. It's simply not possible unless all six MMs elected to change their offer to at least .51 at exactly the same time. That could have happened, but seems quite the stretch.
You both use TD Ameritrade, right? Perhaps they only track select MMs?
Much ado about nothing.....
