depends on how computer literate you are - and what kind of mouse you have - clean mouse for sure, reboot pc, may need to reinstall mouse software.

may need to disable and then reinstall mouse hardware.

try a different port if usb.

check connections, check wiring is good where it goes into mouse (unless wireless mouse)

clean surface if optical mouse

do virus scans
