Some have mentioned various names as someone they would like to see as this board's moderator. While many of the names mentioned are valuable contributors to the board, they lack a virtue essential to being a good moderator - impartiallity. If you can see how important it is to have someone with as little favoritism as possible then you can see the list of"good" moderators is a short list. Seriously, if you look at past posts of each of us, you see antics not fair to others in most of us. Steady and fair and intelligent would be good. And on that short list I personally see Edig, Wolf, Ron, FS, and maybe a few more obscure relatively infrequent posters. fwiw imho
