So JAVA is still ALIVE! I'm not close enough to it, so I didn't know how pervasive it (still) is. This quote:

I KNOW of a certain microprosessor that makes JAVA run FAST.

PTSC used to have friends at Sun. Maybe the "give back" for Sony (assuming the possibility that a give-back is warranted) will be a sweet licensing deal with Sun with some interesting provisions for PTSC. Hey, I'm still buzzed! LOL
