The problem with the reexam percentages is that we do not know what percentage of the 60% that get modified in some way are modications that would have significant impact on infringement and the dollar amounts paid. If we assume that only 10% of the modifications have significant impace, (same percentage as patent invalidity) then 84% of all reexams would fall into the category of either no change or without significant change. Anyone have a feel for how significant most of these modifications are? That info would indeed be nice to know. Opty
