Without delving into political discussion, if I was to agree that we are at war with a radical ideaology / religion may I submit to you that conventional warfare may not squash them.  In fact, it may be generating new generations of anti western sentiment.  We have Madison Avenue executives who have spent millions on figuring out how to convince you that you are sexy when you drive a Mustang.  And it works on most of us.  So how come we can't sell ourselves to the Middle East.  Ahh, but we can.  And there are instances where we see this.  The most dangerous man is a man who has nothing to lose.  And while spending all this money and attention over there, do we not see the division crippling our country.  Multi language, multi cultural, no longer a melting pot but a divided country.  There are going to be consequences for us allowing this to happen.  We no longer share American values as Americans.  The next president will have a tough job.  Lot of tough choices to make.  It can't be an easy job.
