But you'll note things from my post, especially in regard to the Js (not ARM).  Alternatives exist.  Both in the marketplace for products the Js offer, and to the Js in what chip (designs) they use.  Thus no harm to the public.

But I too honestly believe we would accept a fair, but fat, price for a license.  And Pcimino makes a good case for financial hardship in the case of ARM - they'd be toast.

In any case, we'd have 'em by the short hairs, IMO.  What's a fair price when they're making literally billion$?

But we're getting way ahead of ourselves here (my fault).  Let's just agree that there are significant pressures beyond the instant litigation that do influence.
