Genius and Misfit Aren’t Synonyms, or Are They?

While reading this article I was struck on the similarities to the PTSC situation.

We have our own wacky inventor, Charles Moore, a Renaissance Man who creates computer languages AND designs computer chips to run those languages (along with Fish).

And we have a Dark Age technological and political priesthood (pitted against the MMP and FORTH) whose goal is to stifle innovation and consolidate technological power.

OK maybe I have gone overboard on the Middle Age analogies. But its Sunday morning and I haven't had my coffee.

Question. Does the MMP represent a "paradigm shift" in the microprocessor?
