I should clarify that I don't think that all lawyers, being lawyers, are inherently unethical people. But in that profession, for the most part, you leave ethics at the door. And I'm certain that most successful lawyers, fully established, are careful to choose undertakings that do not conflict with their personal ethical standard. But being in that position would be a luxury.
