We beat that notion to death last year -- there can't be any 'surprise' announcements today. People attending the meeting or in transit to and from could be at a disadvantage to act on the 'news', or vice versa with those not attending if simultaneous announcement to 'the public' did not occur. It was left last year that there was no way there would be any 'new news' forthcoming on the day of the meeting.
