So who would make the short list of affiliated companies?

Should we consider those companies that have purchased a license as good candidates for investment? I have not checked the website yet, but I do not recall many companies that they are affiliated with.Is it worth speculating? I think so. After all, They could have bought back shares instead or given out a larger dividend among other things.
