Good question!  The Markman is actually an old Scottish golfing term used predominately by patent attorneys who, back in the day, quite often agreed to settle disputes on the links as opposed to the courtroom.  Such is the case now with Patriot and the J-2&1/5, with May 3rd having been selected as the date for the match.  It will be our two lead attorneys vs. theirs in a two-man best ball, played at scratch (since quite often attorneys have been know to have issues with sand-bagging).  The match is to be played at the LaCosta Resort in Carslbad, CA, where a practice round will also be held immediately following the shareholders meeting on April 27th.  All indications are that our guys really have some game and thus we are viewed as having the upper hand, although we have learned that Danny-boy is going to be on the bag for one of their guys and he is known within the caddy circles to occasionally improve his players lie when no one is looking – a real character flaw obviously, but something we’ll have to deal with.  If our guys win the Markman, it will eventually be reflected in our share price.  Here's to 'keepin it in the fairway'!
