Those 400 letters were sent to 'possible candidates for licensure' of MMP...  Obviously infringers aren't limited to chip producers... it also includes product manufacturers incorporating infringing chips into their products...  My guess is Payson (software should be free) doesn't have a clue about what actually entails infringment (the MMP contains ten, including the 3 major, patents) nor possibly even the hardware side of his place of employment.

I think attacking TPL/Alliancense and the reverse engineering they are undertaking is weaker (well, nearly as weak) than trying to discredit Fish as coinventor....
