BTW I am not an attorney, however I did pass the FL bar exam and have worked closely on trail stratigy in over 400 cases including capitol offenses. Nevertheless, I claim to know nothing. My experience tells me that if a Defendant uses "weird" and too many multiple defenses they may be "in trouble" Usually, a single strong defense is far better than a dozen convoluted ones. I don''t know if they use the term "cockroach defense" in your neck of the woods, but a defendant that historically uses five, ten or even worse more than a dozen defenses appears to be having a bit of a struggle. Sometimes it can be counterproductive to a jury as well. All in my humble opinion.
