This was the attorney I was trying to remember. He was one of NEC. Look at where he started his career.

John J. Feldhaus is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.
Mr. Feldhaus specializes in patent litigation involving electronic and computer technologies and has been lead counsel in numerous cases on subject matter including confocal microscopy, computer power management, plasma enhanced continuous vapor deposition, dynamic random access memories and liquid crystal display technology.
Mr. Feldhaus began his career as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1974. He is co-author of the textbooks, "Electronics and Computer Patent Practice" and "Electronics and Computer Patent and Copyright Practice," both published by Patent Resources Institute. Mr. Feldhaus has also lectured extensively for the Patent Resources Group.
Mr. Feldhaus graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (B.S., electrical engineering, 1970), where he conducted graduate studies in systems engineering from 1973 through 1974. He also graduated from George Mason University School of Law (J.D., with distinction, 1980).
Mr. Feldhaus is admitted to practice before the International Trade Commission, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal and Ninth Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association.
