You are partially correct about the 124. It does address one of the 336 claims. However it is different because the CPU is not part of the IC ie the oscillator is not on the same chip. Pubpat argues that the functional chip 16 is a CPU but the 124 patent explicitly states that the processor is external. I do agree that the 124 should have been used as a reference.
