Regarding the Holocom issue, remember the wording in the 10q - PTSC would invest in a "reorganized" Holocom. Companies do reorganize for various reasons. However, one of the most prominent reasons is bankruptcy. For that reason I think someone may have been right when they suggested that this was anticipated by PTSC.
