I don't see how you could possibly come to the defense of that Johnnynogood. Posters should be measured by their CONTRIBUTION, whether in their insights, knowledge, or ability to ask coherent questions and engage in civil discussion. That Johnny character was incapable on doing any of these.
You ARE capable of these, as is Drebbin (who typically can engage in civil debate). But jumping to the defense of a pure pain-in-the-butt poster, after admitting you didn't read all his posts, is a bit over the top. Name one thing that Johnny contributed! He'd try to suggest something, people would respond in a pretty civil fashion, pointing out where he MAY be misguided, to open a dialogue, and the guy went into total bizzaro attack mode. He attacked the responder, the supposed "core group", and the entire forum. "How to make friends and influence people" was apparently not on his reading list!
Jumping to his defense effects your credibility here. And you, IMO, should reconsider defending someone who's posts you admittedly didn't read/suffer through, and who never contributed anything.
As for the "Core Group", that would be all the true longs here. You know, the people that BELONG here. The people with the common objective - to better understand the investment they've made and believe in. If that is not a poster's purpose in being here, then they don't belong here. The Core Group CONTRIBUTES as described above.
Defending that guy is like jumping to the defense of an axe murderer in front of his victims. And I'm sure the "Core Group" would almost unanomiously agree (you being the exception).
