You have thoughts similar to mine.... IF someone came up with the ideas behind the patents previously, doesn't it seem that they would have been jumping up and down, flailing their arms to get attention?  Especially with the amount of money involved to date, and expected in the future. It just seems to me there would have been a dispute in process long before now if there were any possibility of anyone having a legitimate claim. And, compounding that, if anyone thought they had a claim, they'd be suing the J3/ARM, et al - and probably before us (infringement has been occurring for how long?).  But then again, logic may not apply.

Even if money were not an issue, it seems to me that if someone else conceived the ideas behind the patents prior, and could prove it, the techie-world prestige associated with having been first would have brought that person/entity out of the closet by now.
