First, if this were even contemplated, why would Lexmark, a spin-off of IBM, sign now? (one would think there are still ties; if not in the form of people, but in $). Second, IBM would have to buy out Alliacense, thereby capturing the MMP from both PTSC and TPL (since the agreement states that if either sells out, the MMP defaults to the remaining entity).
But I suppose anything could happen.... And I KNOW nuttin'!
It is possible that a license to IBM may not be too far off - think HP and Agilent. But I too hope they hold off on that big blue boy till after things settle, one way or the other, with the J3/ARM. On the other hand, if IBM settled, THAT would really put the pressure on J3/ARM.
