Yeah, but those attempts at licensing were with Intel Customers, not competitors....
That was all posturing IMO. PTSC went to Intel customers first, because if even one of them had licensed, PTSC`s (anticipated) case with Intel would have been very strong. Intel stepped in (as I suspect PTSC anticipated) upon recognizing this threat. Of course, these events preceeded the Moore ``issue``, if I recall correctly. It would be interesting to know if Intel sought out Moore or vice versa (after researching the patent history).
