Contrary to what some people think, ptsc has not had 6 months to research the items identified in the extension request. In fact, most firms will not do this research themselves, but will leave it to the CPA firm to do it. It could be the CPA firm started their work in August only to identify something that needed to be reaserched.

There can be numerous other reasons why an extension was requested, but they all come down to what Banosser said - because they could and because they wanted to. It is NO reflection on the company or management itself - in fact, again, it usually comes down to the CPA firm either needing extra time, OR, it is ADVANTAGEOUS for ptsc not to release certain info that is in the filing. The only people it negatively affects are the day/swing traders that thought they had everything timed so well. And ptsc management has no obligation to look out for these peoples best interests. Their only concern is for long term investors. And as a long term investor, I can wait another couple of weeks.
