SGE- How about this? What would happen if Arm does not have the money (in cash or in patent insurance)? TPL is certainly entitled to the full sum total of infringement damages if the legal case falls their way, are they not? If TPL were not able to extract the amount of damages they have coming they then could/would go after the next tier up the supply chain all the way up the chain to the J3 if necessary. Have you in your experience done any due diligence of this sort with previous suppliers to make sure they were capable of covering damages wrought in any kind of legal action?
