``Not to defend moto, but I and several others who lurk here get the distinct feeling that ron is a little to quick to jump on posters he doesn`t know if he is irritated in some way with what they say.``
Can`t say I honestly remember this happening, but I can honestly say it could have happened simply because I`ve caught myself wanting to jump down certain posters throats because they were both a new poster and started off with an overly negative and/or positve post without much to support it. Face it - no stock/company is perfect. You can look at the Blue Chips and find all sorts of negatives if you want. So does it make sense for someone to buy a Blue Chip and then go on their message board and start bringing up all the negatives they can find? I feel sorry for the people that live with a person that would find some kind of comfort in acting that way.
I`ve been reading and posting on message boards for about 7 years now. And I`ve learned a lot regarding both the hyping and bashing that occurs. I have my theories as to why both occur which I will keep to myself. As a result, my kneejerk reaction whenever I see a new poster is to regard that person with extreme suspicion until I become comfortable with the sincerity of that poster. Call it paranoia or whatever, I don`t care. But it`s a reflex reaction based on the experiences I, and most of us have had who have been here for any length of time, have had. It`s unfortunate, but something we all have to live with. But bottom line, at least with this board, it has worked because even though there will be times when the people that come here strictly in a distraction mode are successful for awhile, we can usually weed them out eventually and expel them when needed. That`s what makes this board good. Well that, plus the posters dedicated to helping out the rest of the board with the sharing of info.
