You are correct in what was said at the shm. You are wrong to say they lied. Sony presumably could have been in negotiations since around last September or so. As such, of course they would qualify as an early signer. If you didn`t figure out as much before this announcement, then I`d say you weren`t paying close enough attention. It came as absolutely no surprise to me to hear Sony got the early signers discount.
