It actually broke $7.. It was almost completely due to the tech bubble.. and probably momentum from daytraders.. Then everyone was buying everything & anything tech related.. and speculation was PTSC`s new wunder chip would lop out its share of the embedded microprocessor market... POP
Differance now is that PTSC is half owner of the patents to the most fundamental microprocessor tech in the world.. Before, PTSC was battling Moore/TPL for full ownership.. they have since come to their senses and joined forces to enforce the patents and realize their true value.. albeit split 50/50. Separate ownership made the value of the patents all but worthless, together they are very, very valuable.. Intel, AMD, HP, Casio, Fujitsu, Sony.. all have decided to license as opposed to litigate
