Just FYI.

I did not receive a notice about PTSC. However, about a year ago I did get a similar notice from a brokerage. When I called, I was told the brokerage had sent ``customer information`` to a non-authorized party. When asked ``what`` they sent, I was told they had sent my account number and name. They would not tell me the ``who`` part of ``who has this information.`` They actually said that was ``confidential.``

After taking my pound of flesh via tongue lashing up the customer service ladder, I simply closed the accounts and moved the held securities to Charles Schwab. Schwab made it very easy even with IRA funds.

Once you have more info, you may want to take the safest route and blow off that brokerage unless you feel they have done everything necessary to protect you and your investments.
