Mergatroyd,
I couldn't agree with your assessment more.
If I've read it once, I've read it 20 or 30 times, "It's very simple, when you buy a junior, you are buying management, pure and simple". I can't think of another instance in which I invested in a company with management I neither had confidence in or respected. How I stayed with this disfunctional crew after Bob M told us just how bad this management was is beyond me. Combine that with several others who through personal experiences relayed to us how little regard BC, the CEO, had for shareholders magnifies my mystery. Then the news blackout. I could go on, but there is no need to.
MEO might have value in the ground but it is a very unusual formation and that means it will take a lot of money to extract it. That excludes MEO. The management of MEO has lost the respect and trust of the investing public, examplified by the largely unsuccessful recent PP, hense it can't raise the cash neccessary to do the the job. In my opinion that means MEO is finished, dead, killed by bad management.
I deserve my loss for breaking my own investing rules, not to mention common sense. The shame of it is this won't effect my life one way or the other but I know of two others that it will and probably alreasdy has.
Good luck to you all,
skys
