Any drill hole beyond 5000 feet requires a 160 acre spacing which is a perfect square (1/2 by 1/2 mile). Shallow holes below 5000 feet require a 40 acre spacing.

There is a strong possibility that they are drilling to the basement again because otherwise they would specify in their permit that they are drilling a "shallow" hole below the 5000 foot limit

I have already asked BC if Montello is going to drill a shallow or deep well and he would not answer this question!
