321gold is one of my favorite websites for general commentary and entertainment regarding my longstanding interest in natural resource investment.  Its president, Bob Moriarty, is a hystrionic loose cannon whose articles can be entertaining and informative but at best serve as a point of departure for serious investment research and are by no means to be considered as the the final authority on where you should risk your hard earned money. Bob's stock predictions have been wrong many times before, but to be fair, so have mine and I'm not living on the French Riviera either.

More importantly, let's switch to Bill Cawker. Like many of you, I've spoken with him by phone more than once. My stockholding in MEO represents a significant proportion of my capital invested. The information I've gleaned from Bill is not substantially different from what I've read reported by others on Agoracom. However, it was important to me to hear the man's voice and make my own assessment of his "vibes". I also trekked up to Vancouver last month to talk to the guys at Austin Developments and their other JV partners (Montello personnel were not present) for the same reason.

I wouldn't say that we (MEO shareholders) are supporting the finest exploration and business development team on the planet but in my opinion, they are professionals and they have authentic prospects in Alberta and TN. They have demonstrated the ability to raise funds and have been able to secure the services of two of the premier service companies in the business (Nabors and Halliburton), who can cherry-pick their projects because of the shortage of premium oilfield equipment/personnel who don't usually waste their time working for deadbeat clients. Thus, I let credit managers at Nabors and Halliburton judge for me whether MEO is financially viable and I let the success ratio of other producers in Morgan County TN and Alberta demonstrate that the prospects are authentic.

There's no question that Bob Moriarty has a big following and his pulling out of MEO may stimulate an exodus that affects the share price for a few days. I may buy a few more shares if that happens. MEO management may be poor communicators but I haven't caught them lying or stealing. We are all responsible for our own investment decisions - I'm sticking with them for now.

 Best of luck,

Mergatroyd.
