Anyone else notice the monster plunge in the last minute? MFN dropped about 80 cents in the closing minutes while the rest of the gold stocks were heading much higher and stronger into the last minute.
Same happened to WGI and NXG. Northgate had to actually issue a press release to explain there was nothing wrong with the company. NXG dropped from 1.40 to 1.01 in a matter of minutes.
Western Goldfields, Minefinders and Northgate are all junior producers (or imminently in MFN's case). The gold explorers on my list did not suffer this fate so it was only the small cap producers.
I suspect someone wanted to paint the weekly charts and more importantly, wants cheaper shares. Why else would they hammer these stocks in this manner. If someone wanted out, they wouldnt dump the shares and move the share price down 15-30% like that.
Hang onto your shares... these are very bullish signs.
